living in "kubu"

i was sitting on my so-called-bed watching some funny comedians on youtube this morning when i suddenly heard some people talking or discussing about something in a foreign dialect.

i went to the window and saw 2 black guys talking. owh...they were the Sudanese
(the only bahasa melayu that they know is "apa khabar", "sudah makan ka" and
"sihat ka").

then i started thinking...hmm..living in this place feels like i am somewhere in the u.s.

why? u might ask...

well, 1st of all, like every other place on earth, this area is full of chinese(duhhh, its nicknamed chinatown by the locals).

then, living in the same apartment block as me n my housemates are sudanese, siamese, filipinos, portugese, indian, chinese n malays. what a community...

and somehow we respect each others boundaries...

to make the feeling as though we are living somewhere in the u.s. to be more realistic, the environment is decorated with howlings of dogs and siren noises from fire trucks.

owh...how i wish it would snow....
